Developing brand perceptions & positioning strategies

Week 5 was packed with a gamut of marketing and brand engagement activities for the Jadarah trainees. The Marketing team led a field visit to the Mall of the Emirates, and educated the trainees on the range of retail brands in display, and helped them identify different perceptions that consumers have, associated with specific brands. They were further guided on how to develop perceptions, and ways in which brand loyalty can be cultivated.

The experience was further reinforced with a talk at the Jadarah hub by Tammer Qaddumi, Co-Founder at VentureSouq, on the smartest ways of pitching business ideas and early-stage investment with the aspiring trainees. Qadummi was full of wisdom and infectiously energetic! His insights were incredibly informative, and what was planned for an hour, exceeded to two, leaving the trainees hungry for more!

And more it was…

Jadarah opened its doors for speed-networking with community partners, The University of Manchester, where learnings were exchanged and competent minds united under one space!

The week ended with submissions of the marketing assignments by the trainees that covered everything from brand identities, logos, brand stories, marketing funnel, and all that is brand positioning as a significant way for tech-advancements. Next week’s highlight would cover the importance of gender diversity in a workplace by The University of Manchester, and MENA’s first #ShoppingIsHappening event by tech partner, Twitter, that will discuss how brands can tap into the upcoming November sales and be at the heart of the shopping conversations.

Learning never stops at Jadarah!
